All Local Workforce Boards are funded by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development under Employment Ontario. As our key partners they assist us in the development of our yearly project goals to our local communities.

The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development is responsible for:

  • delivering employment and training services across the Province of Ontario
  • developing policy for employment training
  • setting standards for occupational training ie. apprenticeship
  • overseeing programs to support workplace training and workplace preparation, such as:
    • Literacy and basic skills
    • Labour market research and planning
    • Career and employment preparation
